How long is it to North Point if you take the Red Trail from the small parking lot on North Lake Drive ?

How long is it to Ashley Falls from the same Parking Lot ?

Do you consider the Red Trail a difficult hike to North Point ?

From the end of the red Mary's Glen trail it's another quarter-mile to the first North Point overlook.

The Mary's Glen trail is easy hiking for the Catskills. There is about a 500-foot elevation gain, all of it gradual, in that 1.35 miles. The quarter-mile up to North Point is another story altogether. There's over 300 feet of elevation gain in that last quarter mile, with some vertical rock scrambles that require the use of hands. Hikers with dogs will almost certainly need to assist the animals at these spots. The view is worth the effort.

Mary's Glen is likely to be very wet this time of year. The trail has steppingstones on much of its length, but they may be awash in spots. On the other hand, that means that Ashley Falls, and the triple falls in Mary's Glen, will be running prettily.

Like Kevin said, fairly easy hike to the Escarpment. But, the last 1/4 mile is difficult. There are two small ledges you have to get up. One you can walk around. The other you have to get up. But, the views are excellent. If you are staying at the campground, you might consider hiking down the Escarpment Trail on the way back. Beautiful trail. Make sure you make the small side trip to Bear's Den (I think the DEC calls it Artist Ledge?).

There are two lookout points on North Point / North Mtn. Both have great views.

Probably a 5-6 mile round trip.
