Recommendations for Overnight Hike?

Unread post by Fabian »

Hello everyone,

do you have any recommendations for an overnight hike with great views? We're a group of 3, all in pretty good condition, but first hike this year.

Any thoughts and ideas greatly appreciated.

Thanks you,

In my opinion for the best overnight hike with great views would be the escarpment trail. The length can be adjusted from 12 miles to 24 miles. It has some fabulous views. Couple great places to camp.

From Blackhead to North-South Lake is great.
From North-South Lake along the southern escarpment is great.
From Rt 23 to Blackhead is good.

If I had to skip one part, it would be Windham High Peak, Burnt Knob, and Acra Point. If you skip this section, you can start at the Blackhead Parking Lot. If I did this, I would camp on the hidden camp site on the south side of North Mountain. If you do decide to camp there I can tell you how to find it.
