Started late morning going to the lower falls off of 23A. Had the whole trail to myself. Afterward went to the diner in Haines Falls and when talking to the server she mentioned the upper section off of Laurel House Rd. was open again. There is a new parking area. A new easy walking trail was built which led you to a pretty nice observation platform to see the falls. At the lower falls there is still construction going on that will be completed in 16. Thanks for the update. We just posted some pics of the new trail to the top of KF.

Update: The NY-NJ conference puts out their trails notice every Thursday(Dec.10). Officially only the trail to the observation platform is open. The rest of the area remains closed until further notice. Regards.
