Figured I would share a few photos from the last few months:
These were of the sunrise from the peak of Wittenberg on August 9th. Started from the Woodland Valley Campground at 1am and made it to the peak around 4:30am. It was still dark enough to catch a few meteors before the sun started coming up. Not me in the second pic!

This one was my first attempt at star trails. It was taken in Acra, NY during the new moon in October in a friend's yard. Still some tweaks to make, but think it came out pretty good.

Re: 2017 Photos
Thanks, Jon. I hope you viewed them on a computer so the images aren’t cut off like they are on my phone.
The star trails were taken by setting up the camera on a tripod and aiming at Polaris. Then I took 300 one minute exposures using a timer. After I downloaded all of the images, I dropped them in a program call Starstax, which lays each image over the next. You’ll have little gaps in the trails due to the time between each exposure, so the Stax program has a tool to fill in the gaps.
Glad you like them!
