Kaaterskill Falls Injury

On Sunday, May 29, 2016, a hiker fell off Kaaterskill Falls and sustained serious injuries to his head and legs. He was extracted by the local fire department and EMS. He was then transported to a local hospital.

The new trail that runs from the base of Kaaterskill Falls to the top is still closed, and is still under construction. The new bridge over Lake Creek is also closed. No date has been given for the completion of the project. On the weekends some people are still accessing the middle basin.
