Plane wreck near Boulder Rock

Is the plane wreck near boulder Rock (on south side of trail, between BR and the old Hotel carriage road) still there. I remember seeing in years past being right off the trail. It doesn't want to be seen now. Has the DEC hauled it away?

It is still there. Someone tried to carry off parts of the plane and dumped them near the trail. It is 500' off the Escarpment trail and 500' off the trail to Boulder Rock (Split Rock side). There is also a stone marker. You cannot see the actual plane crash location from the trail. You can see the carried off parts from the trail.
