Platte Clove Rd.

Walked today from West Saugerties Rd. up Platte Clove Rd. to the Trail head parking for Huckleberry Point/KHP. On the lower sections the road is starting to melt pretty good. Upper sections are still covered with some 1-2 inches of packed snow. No special equipment necessary. This is my spring training. I think the elevation gain is about 1300 feet. The road is typically closed until April 15th. Saw some photographers from New Paltz taking pictures by the bridge at the top. Nice day to get out.
