It has been brought to my attention that TImothy Mallery passed away on February 19, 2013 after a long illness at his home in Oneonta, NY. He was a hiker and a historian of the Catskill Mountains. He was also the founder of the Catskill Archive http://www.catskillarchive.com/home.htm. He helped us a number of times here at Catskill Mountaineer. He will be sorely missed.

Tim and I had a real good relationship. We often talked about the Catskills often. We both had explored the Kaaterskill Hotel Laundry, and talked about if this was also the Scribner Saw Mill. He also told me many things about the history of the region. Real nice guy. Great source for historical information.
