So out of curiosity, I was looking at the new catskill trail maps by the NY NJ trail conference, and noticed that there is a snowmobile trail marked on the map that goes around the summit of KHP but an unmaintained trail that goes over the top. I do the hike to KHP via Platte Clove every year, going to hurricane ledge and the summit, and I could have sworn that was a marked trail complete with trail markers....Is it me or the map that's not exactly accurate?

You're not crazy. It is marked, but I don't believe it's an official trail.
