snow on 9/30
so I did't mention it in my main post about our adventure this weekend but when I was driving down 28 between mt. Tremper and boiceville after our hike the roads were very steamy. I said "hmm it must have rained here this morning". However we saw patches of snow along the road. Anyone else see this? Not just flurries, but actual accumultion Time to start hiking with snowshoes/crampons?

No, I didn't see it. But, it was below freezing in a couple areas. So yes, it is quite possible.
Glacier National Park in Montana is getting their first big snowstorm of the season.
Yup, time to start thinking about snowshoes again.
