Kaaterskill Falls to the Sphinx

Rich and I met early in the morning at the bottom of Laurel House Road on Saturday. We didn't have a plan, but we both wanted to get out and do some hiking. Without a plan, we headed down the Rail Trail. We then bushwhacked over to Prospect Rock. We then hiked below the rim and followed a herd trail over near the Sphinx. We then visited the Sphinx. We then headed back to Kaaterskill Falls. We hiked down the hidden trail to the middle level of the upper falls. We stopped and took pictures of the Dog Monument. This was the first time I have seen the rock dry. We then moved out the ledge slightly and took a picture.
