Very rare to see that parking lot empty. When we drove past Bastion Falls on Sunday, it was actually flowing okay. And, the packing lot was absolutely packed by 10:30am on Sunday.ecause as we were heading out of Haines Falls the sky began to clear and we suddenly found ourselves with a rare treat.Having Kaaterskill Falls completely to ourselves.Not too often that you drive past that parking lot empty
After a big rain (5+ inches) I will head over to KF after work. Very few people there, and great views from the base. Best time to visit KF is later in the afternoon after a good rain. If there is 10+ inches of rain, then it becomes very dangerous to hike up there.
