Overlook Mtn

Saturday was a disappointing day to be out in the woods. It was windy, rainy, and less then a stellar day. But, after the cold front had moved through, and the skies cleared up it was a beautiful day on Sunday. About seven of used headed to Overlook Mountain. We had not expectations, except for a nice day out with friends. Overall, there were seven of us.
When we got there the skies were a beautiful cobalt blue. It was truly a Bluebird Day. After the cold front moved through, it dumped a couple inches of snow on the ice. The walk up the old jeep trail (Overlook Carriage Road) was very nice. We stopped at the old Overlook Mountain House. Took some pictures, and moved up to the fire tower. A couple of us climbed the fire tower and took pictures. It was calm most of the day. But, it was a little windy by the fire tower.
We then moved over to the Overlook. We were surprised with ice covered trees that were absolutely spectacular. We stood around and soaked in the scenery. We then headed down the mountain.
