I hiked up cortina lane and up the trail to the ski slope and there were yellow signs that said no tresspassing violators will be prosecuted, and it said DEP on the bottom, does this mean your not supposed to hike up that trail to the slope??

Seems odd. According to the tax maps, the land isn't owned by the DEP. Maybe the DEP just bought Cortina? If they did, not sure why they would restrict access.

There were the yellow signs and they marked a lot of trees with spray paint and also the pink tape, if you were to go there,it starts right at the lot. The yellow sign read, posted water supply land no trespassing violative will be prosecuted
