Yes, two different mountain lions. The prints in Lake George were around 4" wide where our prints were 3-1/4" wide. Can't be in two different places at once.
From what we understand, the DEC kept the information quiet, but must have been sharing information with other states. CT DEP called NY DEC immediately after the cougar was hit. They were talking to each other.
