PBS had a 1 hr show on Wolverines back in November. The show was called, "Woverines: Chasing the Phantom". You can still see the show by clicking the link below. Make sure that you enlarge the image to full screen. The video covers wolverines in Glacier National Park in Montana and Alaska. It was very well done.

It is my understanding that wolverines need a large snow pack to survive. Not sure why. But, they did used to exist here. There also used to be a lot of Lynx in the Catskills.
