When should I start to look for bears to come out of their den? There is still a lot of snow around.

They usually come out around April 1. We have already seen a couple along with tracks and digs. You can find them often around conifer forest. There is less snow there, so they can dig for roots. We have also seen them going to the locations where acorns were plentiful last Falls.
