Seeking Information regarding Access to Austin's Glenn

Unread post by magicland »

Greetings,
I would like to visit Austin's Glenn, although it appears that access is difficult. The other day I was thinking about parking on 23 but ultimately decided against it as I didn't want my car towed. Wondering if anyone here knows of any alternative access points.

Many thanks,
Ryan

You can park just west of the Thruway on Rt 23 (east bound). BUT, you must get all 4 wheels off the pavement. They must be on the grass.

Thanks for the tip Mike! I went there with my buddy a few days ago and a cop had pulled someone over right by our car, and my friend was disappointed we got a ticket. I told him that all four wheels were off the pavement and not to worry. And voila - our car was fine, no tickets.

Anyway, I went back to this location today and discovered a cave entrance, with a ladder and rope. I had read about this here: https://www.nytimes.com/1910/07/17/arch ... -glen.html

I can't find any other information online, wondering if anyone has been here before?

If anyone is interested in exploring this cave, let me know!
