The Catskill Center has replaced the old King Post Bridge that went over the Plattekill Creek. It is located just above Plattekill Falls and Old Mill falls. The parking area is on the side of Rt 16 in Elka Park region. Just before the Little Red House. After the old bridge collapsed, hikers were prevented from using the trail to Overlook Mtn and Indian Head Mtn and Echo Lake. Hikers had to use the side trail from Prediager Road.

Naturally, the water was high when the bridge collapsed. Glad they got it fixed.

Didn't know that the old bridge was bad. Looks like the old one. Good to know that it is good to go.
