Hurricane Sandy will rip any remaining leaves off the tree as it arrives on Monday October 29, 2012. We now consider the leaf foliage done. Hope that everyone got a chance to get out and see the foliage.

The leaves are turning very quickly. Next weekend will be the peak. There are areas where the change is ahead of other regions, and then other regions where the change is slower.

The region around Windham seems to have some pretty good color change. We'll have to wait and see if we get a cold snap to get the leaves changing. The leaves are ready to change. Just need a good freeze.

I am amazed how many popped the in the last week. Hopefully it will get cold so that they don't brown out too much.

Going to Giant Ledge this weekend. It's calling for rain on Saturday. (40%) This is the first hike I chose because of the views. I'm hoping to at least see some color change on the leaves. Looking forward to it either way.
