Twin Mtn Hike

Unread post by mike »

Alexis and I hiked up Twin from Dale Lane parking lot on Saturday. It was cloudy and sprinkled a little at the beginning of the hike. This was Alexis's first hike in four months. She got tired fast. We started very late, so that didn't help. Then the skies cleared, and the wind kicked up. The wind was blowing quite strong. Had 2 shirts and and my jacket. Had my gloves on, and I was still cold. Ran out of time, so we didn't reach the view point.

Stepped in a deep mud hole around the beaver dam. It was close to 1-1/2 feet deep. My right foot got wet, and got cold quickly.

The foot bridge over the creek is cracked and cannot hold me. Alexis walked over it, but it bowed pretty bad. It is UNSAFE!

Oh yeah...we found someone's hiking boot here:

Can't believe that someone would wear a shoe like this on the Devil's path.
