ADK Club hike to WHP & BK
Today the ADK chapters did a hike to Acra Point, Burnt Knob summit, and Windham High Peak. In all they had 17 people on the hike. Some of the people even came from Syracuse. It was a great group of people. Great weather. Sunny and 70 degrees. We started from the Blackhead Parking Lot. We hiked up to Acra Point for some good view over the blackhead Range. Then we hiked up to the ledges on the south side of Burnt Knob and had lunch. After lunch we bushwhacked up to the summit of Burnt Knob. We then hiked back down to the trail. On the way to Windham High Peak we stopped at the multiple view points. Then we headed to the summit of Windham High Peak. We stopped for a little while to soak in the views. Then it was a nice hike down the mountain to the Peck Road PA. about 7-8 miles and 7 hours. Here are some pictures:
