Elm Ridge & Batavia Kill Dam & Colgate Lake

On Saturday, we drove up to Elm Ridge and walked the ridge. A couple of Mtn Bikes, but no one else. Real nice easy hike. Lot of bears have been up there, but the berries are ripe. Didn't see any. Doubt that would go there during the day. There was a slight breeze, and it was a little muggy, and around 75 degrees.
We then drove over to the Batavia Kill Reservoir. Looked at the geese and Egrets roaming about. We then hiked across the dam and back. Real nice view from the top of the dam looking back at WHP and the blackheads. the wind had picked up considerably. No one else there.
We then drove over to Colgate Lake and walked about. Overall, we probably walked about 7-8 miles. Lots of people roaming about.
Forgot my camera, so no pics today. But, it was a real nice day to be out.
