Where to host?

Unread post by Jon »

HEEEEEYyya. Sorry I've been gone for a good minute. I just remembered this forum existed. Sorry for the flurry of posts! Seems not too much has changed in my absence (more people lost, more people fell at Ks Falls etc.).

Wondering about image hosting services! I used to have Picasaweb, that was taken over by Google, then they incorporated it into Google+ but I was still able to go to picasaweb and get direct links to do the [.img] [/.img] thing. Now Google has decided they don't like google+ anymore (who uses that?) and they got rid of picasaweb photos entirely but they moved the picasa software uploads directly to Google Photos (this is entirely different than Google+ guys, it's just photos....?). Well now when I go to Google Photos I can still hit a "share" button and get a link to the google photo. BUT. This is not a direct link to a .jpg image so I can't use this to post on a phpBB forum (such as this). /exhale.
Long story short, I can't put picks of my last couple hikes, and I'm mad/sad  =( :?:
I checked my old links, and it seems the pictures still show up, so I know that those links aren't all dead. But do I need to find some other image hosting service? Anyone got a good free one that's worthwhile?

Thanks!
