Google Terrain Map - problems

Unread post by dave »

Google terrain map is having problems. It seems that roads are showing up as parts of trails. The roads look like GPS tracks. Very strange.

There is a road running inbetween Cornell Mtn and Wittenberg (bruins causeway). Mind you that this section is only about 10 feet wide. It seems like the overlay is off by about 10 miles. Someone said that it has been this way for a week.

There were some people who thought that the Google map problem was localized. But, it appears to be quite wide spread. The problem is probably from the company Google licenses it from. The overlay appears to be shifted.

It is quite humorist to see Moon Haw Road running across Bruin's Causeway. Especially since it is only about 10 feet wide. More of a eyebrow riser is the road up the very steep bank that you cannot even walk down.

Wonder how long it will take them to fix it?
