Logging on Mt Pisgah Mtn Range

Unread post by bikenhike »

I noticed that they have logged Mt Pisgah and Ashland Pinnacle. Are they going to log Mt Pisgah west slope and Huntersfield?

Good question. Right now I don't know. But, it looks like they might log Mt Pisgah. The mountain range has been treated very poorly in recent years. The trail that went across the top was a wonderful trail. The NY/NJ TC (maintainer of the trail). has rerouted most of the trail, and ruined it. They refused to maintain the trail over Richmond, which is a nice trail if it was maintained. They recently abandon the Ashland-to-Huntersfield trail, and rerouted the LP over public roads. No trail maintenance that way. The hike of Mt Pisgah and Huntersfield are the only good hikes left. Then you have the loggers who ruined the rest. It is really pathetic.
