According to the NYS DOT, a rock slide occurred near Bastion Falls. This has closed Rt 23a in both direction. At this time we don't have a time table as to when the road will be reopened. But, the DOT is working on it.
Update 9/21: Both lanes have been reopened to traffic.

Anyone have any links to info on this or any other information on the road closure or how bad the flooding and slides were? I know we had wicked rains in New Jersey Tuesday night

According to the news report this morning, they now have 1 lane open. Probably the rock wall just before Bastion Falls gave out. I suspect that it might be completely open by the weekend or early next week.
