Unread post by dave »

On the afternoon of October 6, 2018 a 57-year-old-woman was hiking around the Kaaterskill Falls region and fell and broker her leg. EMS, police, and SAR were dispatched to the area. It took several hours to extract her from the woods. She was then transported to the hospital.

More information to follow.

From the DEC Forest Rangers:

Town of Hunter in Greene County - Rescue: At 2:10 p.m. on Oct. 6, Forest Rangers received a report of a 67-year-old female hiker who suffered an unstable lower leg injury while hiking from Kaaterskill Falls to the Rte. 23A Trailhead.
