The Fall foliage season is changing very quickly this year. We are now past peak leaf foliage. There are still some areas where there is still some good color. But, in the next few days those will disappear too. This year we had a lot of yellow and brown. Little red and orange. In late summer, we had a lot of rain.

The Fall foliage season is changing very quickly in the past week. We do expect this coming weekend to be peak leaf foliage. The coming week will be unseasonably warm. Please note that the north side of the mountains are sometimes past peak, where the south side isn't close to peak. Foliage this year will be highly variable depending upon your location. The colors are mainly yellow and brown. Limited red and orange at this point.

The start of the Fall foliage season is about 10 days late this year. But, we do expect it to catch up fairly quickly. Historically speaking, peak season usually runs from around Oct 10-20. There is a little more color near open fields, and roads. A good freeze is needed to make the leaves change, and we don't see that coming for at least another 10 days.
