Starting on May 24, 2018 Mike Suidy set out to break the record of hiking all 35 of the highest peaks in the Catskill Mountains. He did accomplish this new record of hiking 144 miles to complete all 35 peaks in 2 days, 9 hours, 15 minutes. During the 57 hours it took to complete the task, Mike sleep 1.5 hours. The record was previously set by Ted Keizer (also known as Cave Dog) on September 11-13 of 2002 with 2 days, 15 hours, and 24 minutes.

Mike attributes some of his success to better knowledge of the Catskill Mountains, and hiking it in the Spring when there is more day light. And, a few other tricks.

You can read Mike's story here of how he accomplished the task: https://www.mountainpeakfitness.com/blo ... ill-35-fkt

Some people are really into that kind of thing. Personally it does not appeal to me as something I would like to do. But, I also admire his accomplishment.
