Dave, just saw a facebook post from a friend that posted info from the NY-NJ trail conference that the road is closed due to a rock slide. Regards

Yes, there was a rock slide near the top of the road. Quite a big rock that takes up most of the road. It happen during the day on Saturday. I have seen some pictures of it floating around. I suspect that the Town of Hunter will get it cleared this week. We should have more information tomorrow.

The highway dept says that they might have it opened by Tuesday if they can break up the rock into smaller bits. If not, it may take a couple more days to get the road opened back up. but, it should be open by the weekend. Here's a pic

Platte Clove road is now open again. Town of Hunter did a great job.

They opened the road this afternoon.
