Can't schedule it for another month and a half. Too bad. I did Marcy from Loj last weekend. Really cold but the beat down snow was nice and smooth. Not like it will be in mid late April. Snow above 3000, I guess. Will there be any groups doing it late April maybe May?

Very possible someone might want to do this hike in the Spring. Most people like to do it before they have to pay for parking at Woodland Valley. Most enjoyable in the Fall with the foliage. Most people do it from the Slide PA to Woodland Valley direction. Much easier.

There is also some people talking about doing a hike from Moon Haw to the summit of Wittenberg Mtn on the old trail.

Nice hike during good weather. Start at Slide Mtn PA and hike to Woodland Valley. More elevation coming from Woodland Valley. I think that there is a way to do it from Moon Haw rd?

Worst dayhike EVER!
Rained all the way to the summit of Slide. Ice storm on Slide summit and all the rocks were glazed with ice.
Gonna lose at least two toenails from down climbing all three. Boy did I get soaked. No views.

Sounds horrible! Not sure which is worse. Ice or getting wet. I think that Mike had a worse hike many years ago when he was stuck in a canyon with lightning striking all around him. Hopefully, your next hike will be better.
