Bushwhack to Cornell?

Hi Everyone,
This is my first post to the forum. I look forward to reading about everyone's hiking experiences here. I hiked the Catskill 3500s years ago and just last year have taken up hiking once more.
I am interested to know if anyone has bushwhacked to Cornell from Moonhaw Rd. (I am aware there is private property near the beginning of an unmarked trail there and of course I'd skirt around this.) A friend did this hike years ago and he believes he came out at the col between Wittenberg and Cornell, probably just north of the Cornell Crack. My hiking map shows an unmarked trail that goes about 1/3 of the way up. Has anyone here done this?
