Yes, they are here. In the summer they have a brown coat, and are to see. I think I have a photo somewhere of one.

They can be found through out the Catskills. They are hard to see, so finding them can be difficult.

Bobcats are hard to photograph. They don't come out during the day too often. I often see them at dusk. Very difficult to photograph, because the noise of the camera scares them. Bears are starting to come out now. Deer are fairly easy to find and photograph.

There is a barred owl hanging out at Dutcher's Notch now. On a cloudy day you might be able to find him later in the afternoon day roosting.

I photographed this guy in September at Dutcher's Notch.

There are lots of smaller birds on the Colgate Lake Trail in the conifer section. Mainly Warblers. If you sit and wait they will come out of hiding. There are also lots of Warblers on Indian Head. Just below Sherman's Lookout. Stand in the clear cut section and they will fly all around your head.

I was, however, lucky enough to watch two beavers swimming and diving at the smaller beaver damn near Pecoy Notch. Too bad I didn't have my better camera back then...

also if you want to make a wildlife scrapbook of the catskills you need to add mosquitos and chipmunks in there
