Another report on cbsnews.com stated that last year there were 950 bats in the largest bat cave in the northeast. This year there was only one left. Very sad.

I understand that they are going to try and introduce some Little Brown Bats back into one of the largest caves. they imported them in from Wisconsin. They also put up screens over the caves to prevent them from flying out into the cold winter air. They are not sure if it will work, but it should answer a lot of questions. A small step, but it will be progress.
