Since it was so hot this weekend, I headed out Sunday to look for butterflies. I headed down Spruceton Road to the parking area at Westkill. The road was full of butterflies. Eastern Swallowtails, Black Swallowtails, Red Admirals, White Admirals, Eastern Azures, Cabbage Whites, etc. I didn't have my good camera with me so the pictures are disappointing:
Black Swallowtail
Red Admiral
Here are some other photographs I got on another day:
White Admiral
Spring Azure
Eastern Tailed Blue

Re: Butterfly adventure
Nice pictures Mike! Don't think I have seen a Black Swallowtail.
