Large Coyote

Unread post by mike »

Here are some tracks from a coyote we have been watching for almost 3 years:

This guy is very large. He is often seen running around Acra Point to Durso Corners. His paw prints are about 4 inches in diameter. Last year he was seen running with a pack. This winter he seems to be running alone.

Hay...Maybe it's a FISHER! LOL. Maybe we should ask Laurie Rankin?

I have to say, he is one big coyote. Mike have you see him in person?

Yes, I have seen him. I was tying my shoe, when he came upon me. He started to charge after me. When I stood up, and took a defensive position, he stopped. He is very large. He is close to 100 lbs.

there is also a large buck in the same area. A encon guy told me that a few people have been trying to find him during hunting season. Not sure if they got him or not. I think I have pictures of his prints somewhere. They are huge.
