Tour-of-the-Catskills Bicycle Race

The Tour-of-the-Catskill Bicycle Race will be from Friday July 30, 2010 to Sunday August 1, 2010. The race will be in two major stages. The first Stage will be around the Windham Region. Here is a map of Stage #1:

51.6 miles and 80.3 miles for professionals - 2900' elevation gain

The second stage will be in the Tannersville area and will include Platte Clove Road from West Saugerties. Here is a map of Stage #2:

Thanks for the update. Stage #2 up Devil's Kitchen should be interesting. I have seen people training there all summer long.

I knew that Floyd Landis (2006 Tour-de-France winner) was biking around the region on Thursday. He was officially competing today in the Epic, and will be in tomorrows Tour-in-the-Catskills race tomorrow. Tomorrows race up Platte Clove Road from West Saugerties should be quite interesting. It is a tough hill to climb. With this section being at the end of the race, it will be a game changer.
