Description: Santa Cruz Falls gets its name from a bottle of Santa Cruz Rum that was discarded by a group of hunters near the top of the waterfalls. Few people are even aware of these waterfalls. They can be accessed on the east side of the Santa Cruz Ravine, which is on NYS Land, You cannot access the bottom of the Falls because it is on Private Land. You cannot access the top because it is on Private Land. You can get close enough to see it - you just cannot get to the base. Furthermore, there is a dangerous land slide on near the bottom of the falls. Do NOT hike below the land slide. This waterfall is located on Private Land, and you cannot get permission to visit it. |
